You really need to see it to believe it. Weighing only 150 lbs, this 60 cfm hydraulic driven above deck air compressor will save your customers weight and space while delivering proven performance.

The field trials so far have met with resounding success and feedback has been very positive.

Beta units will continue to be built as quickly as possible and will ship as each one is completed. Production launch is now scheduled for July 1st. We know that this delay may cause some issues with current orders in the system, but for the release, this is the best decision. The PREDATAIR is a great product that will be very successful.

Starting this month, some UNDERHOOD VR70 systems and the PREDATAIR60 will be shipped with VMAC's newly designed air compressor.

After extensive testing, all performance objectives have been met or exceeded. The reliability of our new compressor has enabled us to feel extremely confident in offering our two-year warranty that was announced for systems shipped beginning January 2005.

Weight was another factor that was addressed. The new compressor weighs in about 10 pounds lighter. Of course the most noticeable difference you'll see is the aluminum housing as opposed to cast iron.

Over the next few months, we'll be using this compressor on more systems. To start with, three systems will be equipped with the new compressor: V900086 - 2005 International DT466; V900087 - 2005 GMC 6.0L Gas; H600001 - PREDATAIR60 hydraulic driven above deck. All new system designs will incorporate the new compressor. Existing systems will be changed over on an ongoing basis.

Some Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Diesels are having problems with the turbocharger intercooler tube and/or connecting elbow duct blowing off either the turbocharger or the intercooler tube. This occurs with or without a VMAC Air Compressor installed. Vehicles encountering this problem may exhibit a lack of power and/or low boost pressure condition.

The 2006 trucks are well on their way to market. We will be confirming UNDERHOOD system installations on these new trucks over the next few months. The timeline for this process will depend on when we can see a truck and complete an installation. If you receive a 2006 chassis, please let us know as we may have more details available at that time.

Due to overwhelming demands, VMAC will now have to offer an exchange only program for rebuild compressors. Custom rebuilds will no longer be accepted. As always, if a rebuild compressor is available, you will be able to purchase it. Compressor cores are still welcome for core credit.

A VMAC remanufactured compressor is completed here at our facility. Every bearing, seal and o-ring is replaced and the compressor is thoroughly tested to our standards. Each rebuild compressor has a 6- month warranty.
